The Living Word ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application at livingword.claytonphillips.com.
By using The Living Word, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Questions you ask: When you submit a question, it is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a Scripture-based response. We do not store your questions on our servers.
Usage data: We track how many questions you ask per day using your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Payment information: If you subscribe, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not collect or store your credit card information. Please review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Subscription status: Your subscription status is stored locally on your device using browser storage.
We use the information collected solely to provide the Scripture guidance service. Your questions are processed in real time to generate answers and audio responses. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (Anthropic for text generation, ElevenLabs for voice synthesis, and Stripe for payment processing).
The Living Word uses the following third-party services to operate:
Anthropic (Claude AI): Processes your questions to generate Scripture-based responses. See their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
ElevenLabs: Converts text responses to audio using voice synthesis technology. See their privacy policy at elevenlabs.io/privacy.
Stripe: Processes subscription payments securely. See their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Netlify: Hosts the application and processes web requests. See their privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.
The Living Word stores minimal data locally on your device using browser local storage, including your daily question count and subscription status. This data does not leave your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data.
We do not maintain a database of user accounts or personal information.
The Living Word is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
